With the chime installed
And the LID OFF
Close the door tightly
And make sure the chime pistonis not making contact with the chime sounder bar.
with door closed if piston continually hits chime sounder bar it will ruin
the chime in six months or a year
Not covered by warranty
with the door tightly closed
open the door one inch
and close the door
the chime should continue
the “ringing” sound.
If the ringing sound stops
when you do this
the chime box is too close to the door
NOTE (bracket not need for pull doors)
also note that this chime installs
easier with 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch
size 1/4 inch hex head
you need 1/4 inch hex head
driver for this
rather than the screw (philips)
that come with the unit.
